About Me

Born in one of the smallest towns in the Netherlands, I now live and work in one of Finland’s largest metropolitan areas. But nothing compares to the moments when I leave behind steel and concrete for the solitude of the wild. Once surrounded by nature, deep in a remote forest or open grassland, I channel my passion into photography.

My photography has been described as imaginative and minimalistic, often compared to Scandinavian design and the Nordic way of living. For me, respecting nature means capturing subjects in their purest form, stripped down to their simplest, most functional elements. That’s how I experience nature, and it defines who I am.

Why join my photo tours?

When you join one of my tours, it’s not just about landscapes, wildlife, or fleeting moments, it’s about learning to see differently. I guide you through an imaginative, two-dimensional, minimalist approach: working with lines, shapes, and negative space to build calm, graphic frames. You’ll practice high-key and low-key techniques to create airy, ethereal images or deep, moody contrasts straight in-camera, then refine them during post processing for a consistent, signature style.

Over the years in the locations we visit, I’ve built local knowledge and close connections, from landowners to farmers and hide operators, so we’re in the right place at the right time, with real flexibility when conditions change.

That access, plus practical guidance on fieldcraft and ethics, lets you focus on the image, not the logistics. Most of all, you’ll learn by doing. I’m beside you in the field, explaining decisions in real time—lens choice, angle, exposure, simplification, and shutter for motion or stillness.

Then we take those files into an editing session to translate the vision: clean, minimalist compositions developed into cohesive high-key/low-key series you’ll be proud to share with friends, family, and beyond. You’ll leave with images, yes, but more importantly, with a repeatable process and the confidence to make this style your own.
