Vuoden Luontokuva (Finnish Nature Photo of the Year) 2019
An awarded image in the Finnish Nature Photo of the Year 2019 competition
I am so incredibly proud that I got awarded with an image in the Finnish Nature Photo of the Year 2019 competition.
The following image of this delicate Clouded Apollo (Parnassius mnemosyne) won the ‘Works of Nature’ or ‘Nature’s Art’ category (Teoksia Luonnosta in Finnish) of the Finnish Nature Photo of the year 2019 competition.
Two male Banded Demoiselles (Calopteryx splendens) warming up in the early sun light. No wind, lucky, so it was rather easy to take this shot. Taken against an almost cloudless sky and converted into a B&W, to create a bit of a fine art effect, using Silver Efex Pro. Simplicity. The way I like it.
